Support and FAQ

Stuck on a hole or something not working? The answers to the usual questions are below. If yours isn't here, write to info@workaholicdevelopers.com.

Playing

How do I aim and putt?

Put your finger down anywhere on the screen and drag back, like pulling a slingshot. The dotted guide shows where Bix will roll; the further you pull, the harder the putt. Let go to shoot.

How do I hop?

While Bix is rolling, tap the screen. Bix does one small jump per shot: enough to clear gaps, low walls and steps. Tall rails are too high to hop. Time it just before the gap.

How do I brake?

While Bix is rolling, press and hold. Bix uncurls and skids, slowing down fast. Let go to curl up and roll on. Braking is how you stop on a ledge, stay out of water and settle into the cup.

What happens if Bix falls off or into water?

You get one penalty stroke and Bix goes back to where that shot started. Each hole ends at par + 4 strokes, so nobody is stuck forever.

How do I practise?

Settings → How to play opens an interactive practice hole for aiming, hopping and braking. You can also turn the aim guide to short or off in Settings, and switch the buttons to a left-handed layout.

Playing together

How do I play with friends on one phone?

Choose Party. Add 2 to 4 seats (each one a player or a computer), pick characters and a world, and pass the phone around. Party twists add a twist card each hole: Magnet, Bouncy, Sticky, Ice or Giant ball.

How do online rooms and invite codes work?

Choose Online and create a room: you get a six-letter room code and an invite link (like putt.workaholicdevelopers.com/join/ABCDEF). Friends type the code or tap the link, which opens the app or the browser game. Quick Match puts you in a room with other players. Everyone plays the hole at the same time, and the others' shots appear as ghost balls. Computer players fill empty seats and take over for anyone who leaves.

Online rooms need an internet connection. Names are random fun names made on your device, and players can only send eight preset emotes: there is no chat.

The invite link doesn't open the game.

On the invite page, tap "Play in your browser" to play straight away, or open the game and type the room code. Rooms end when the game ends, so an old code won't work: ask your friend for a new one.

Progress and settings

Where is my progress saved? Can I move it to another device?

Progress is saved only on your device (or in your browser for the web game). There are no accounts, so it can't be moved or restored. Deleting the app or clearing the site's data removes it.

How do I start over?

Settings → Reset progress clears stars, unlocks and trophies on this device.

What languages are there?

English, Español, Português (Brasil), Français, Deutsch, हिन्दी and Bahasa Indonesia. Change it in Settings → Language.

Is it really free?

Yes. No ads, no in-app purchases, no coins to buy and no accounts. Every skin, trail, hat and dance is earned by playing.

Does it work offline?

Story Tour, Quick Play, Daily Hole and Party all work without internet once the game has loaded. Only online rooms need a connection.
